We need a way to get the glutamic acid out of the food so we can measure its concentration. Post suggestions below.
Do take into account the following:

• Glutamic acid is a polar amino acid
• Glutamic acid decomposes at 199° C
• The isoelectric point (pI) of glutamic acid is 3.15
